• Promote and educate mortgage brokers on Manulife Bank solutions • Manage and deepen existing mortgage broker relationships and prospect for new ones • Conduct targeted call campaigns, virtual meetings, and professional telephone and email sales activities • Develop, maintain, and expand internal and external relationships within a specified geographic territory • Present Manulife Bank’s selling strategy through the sales education series • Work with External Business Development Managers to identify candidates for the educational program • Conduct knowledge checks and develop, host, and present virtual meetings for brokers • Support brokers from pre-application through funding • Support and manage National Desks to solicit mortgage deals • Manage funding ratios and process referred and existing broker client deals • Transition brokers to external BDM support or back to internal support based on performance thresholds • Analyze broker production and identify relationships for termination • Collaborate with Compliance, Client Services, Marketing, Events, and Product teams • Organize daily tasks to achieve productivity metrics and support brokers and the sales region • Leverage technology to create efficiencies within the territory and sales team
• College or University degree in a related field • Minimum 2 years of experience in the banking and mortgage brokerage industry • Strong understanding of mortgage underwriting • Experience conducting virtual meetings and presentations • Ability to analyze sales data and reports • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Power BI, and Adobe platforms is an asset • Business planning and territory management skills • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to build and maintain relationships • Passion for learning and development • Ability to persuade and negotiate through consultation and active listening • Sales acumen, business development, and prospecting aptitude • Ability to execute a repeatable and measurable sales process • Ability to provide underwriting expertise • Strong time management and prioritization skills • Effective communication, organization, and collaboration skills • Initiative, adaptability, problem-solving, and analytical skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines • Comfortable with a pay-for-performance compensation structure • Coachable and receptive to feedback • Results-driven and team-oriented
