📋 Description

• Lead development and deployment of chemical refining processes • Develop software for capital project execution and automated plant optimization • Lead equipment and plant-wide controls infrastructure and programming scopes from concept through design, installation, commissioning, ramp, and handover to operations • Support the buildout of an in-house engineering team • Develop standards for controls programming • Lead equipment scopes through modeling validation, procurement, engineering, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and ramp • Manage external equipment providers, technology licensors, and engineering companies • Drive cross-functional teams to scale up equipment and de-risk commercialization of novel mineral refining processes • Support hiring, mentorship, and day-to-day management of junior process engineers • Develop technoeconomic models for project opportunities, acquisition targets, and new technologies • Prepare and present bankable engineering deliverables for project financing due diligence • Identify, evaluate, and implement process engineering and project management software tools • Support software and machine learning automation of capital project workflows and advanced plant control algorithms

🎯 Requirements

• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and ability to solve challenging problems • Experience with equipment engineering and design • Experience with brownfield equipment modifications and upgrades • Experience with greenfield equipment design • Experience evaluating and optimizing operating equipment • Experience in industrial manufacturing, large-scale mining or mineral processing, large-scale chemical production processes, or engineering, procurement, and construction firms • Experience with direct or indirect leadership of engineers and technicians • Experience managing and executing medium- to large-scale capital projects exceeding $5M
