📋 Description

• Jointly manage client contract negotiations, project and company risk management, and other commercial and risk management activities • Assist in developing, implementing, training, controlling, and continuously improving commercial and risk management processes, systems, and tools • Act as a functional leader in strategy, talent development, change management, results driving, and systems development • Model Mastec Industrial Values and Beliefs, emphasizing Safety and Protect • Lead development and promotion of a culture of accountability • Assist the Group Vice President with strategy, vision, budgets, and business plans • Provide regular reporting to the Group Vice President • Establish and maintain relationships with existing and new clients • Collaborate with directors, senior managers, and Group Vice Presidents on business planning, budgeting, and process improvements • Assist with bid evaluations and preparations from commercial and risk management perspectives • Review estimating risk analyses, project classifications, risk registers, contingencies, and management reserves • Lead detailed client contract reviews and deal negotiations • Support development and alignment of contract schedules, scope of work, schedules of values, engineering, and commercial documents • Develop, review, track, and finalize contract exhibits and supporting documentation • Close project deals and secure signed client project agreements • Manage and coordinate post-signing preconstruction planning activities • Support negotiations and planning for major subcontracts, suppliers, and engineering selection • Coordinate client project management interfaces before mobilization • Facilitate project constructability and risk reviews from estimating through warranty closeout • Champion use of the risk management system • Analyze cost models with estimating and finance teams before contract signing • Track risk-related action plans and mitigation targets • Develop contracting positions to mitigate, avoid, or transfer project risk • Implement and continuously improve commercial and risk management standard operating procedures, processes, and tools • Conduct site and office audits of project teams’ adherence to procedures • Participate in senior management project reviews covering financial performance, schedule, risk, opportunities, and client relationships

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience • 10+ years relevant experience • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Excellent negotiation skills • Excellent computer skills • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment • Ability to work well under pressure and meet timelines and deadlines • Ability to work independently and as both a leader and contributor to teams • Personal responsibility for working toward Mastec Industrial’s Zero Injury principles • Ability to follow basic safety precautions when visiting jobsites • Position may be subject to pre-employment screening, including background check and drug testing • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
