📋 Description

• Administer project contracts during pre-construction and execution phases • Draft notices to clients regarding force majeure, owner-caused delays, and other contractual matters • Deliver key contract terms reviews after contract award and before mobilization • Draft contractual notices to subcontractors and suppliers regarding performance and project execution matters • Participate in regular project team meetings and proactively engage with the project team • Advise the Project Manager on contractual change requirements • Monitor and track changes and claims through final resolution • Support the Project Manager, project team, and insurance team in administering, tracking, documenting, and closing insurance claims • Support project closeout, including administration of certificates and warranties • Capture contractual lessons learned and report them during the Close Out Phase Gate

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or relevant discipline; or equivalent experience • 5+ years of recent experience in construction contract management on large and complex construction projects in the $30MM to 150MM range • 3+ years of recent experience using construction management software • Experience working with prime construction contracts and project impacts such as force majeure, unforeseen events, and geotechnical reporting • Strong knowledge of construction contract requirements, contract change conditions, claims analysis and negotiations, change order cost estimates, and time impact analyses • Experience with Viewpoint, Procore, and Project Controls software • Subject-matter expertise in contract management principles and techniques • Understanding of construction agreement provisions including warranties, limits of liability, risk of loss, schedule milestones/LD’s, force majeure, and change orders • Ability to interpret difficult and complex contractual provisions • Strong organizational skills, initiative, and meticulous attention to detail • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel) • Ability to meet working-environment demands including exposure to weather, moving mechanical parts, high and precarious places, extreme heat, fumes, airborne particles, vibration, and loud noise • Position may be subject to pre-employment background check and drug testing
