• Conduct accessibility evaluations of websites, web applications, PDFs, online forms, portals, and other digital assets using automated and manual testing • Develop prioritized remediation recommendations, technical guidance, and user-focused solutions for design and content teams • Collaborate with project managers, developers, UX designers, content authors, and public/private staff • Prepare written reports, executive summaries, and technical memos describing findings, risks, and compliance status • Consult on accessible procurement for digital tools, platforms, and third-party services • Deliver training, office hours, and reference materials on digital accessibility and inclusive design • Monitor emerging accessibility regulations, standards, and assistive technologies and advise clients • Apply plain-language communication, universal design principles, and inclusive best practices • Help develop Matrix’s digital accessibility practice, including services, workflows, tools, and standards • Build relationships and grow clientele across accessibility markets • Review and help structure proposals, including digital assets, for accessibility alignment • Work with team and leadership to develop solution-oriented strategies • Review architectural plans, construction documents, and renovation projects for accessibility compliance during design and construction phases • Support municipalities, state agencies, and other public/private-serving entities in improving website, digital-service, and online-document accessibility
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience • 2–4+ years of experience in digital accessibility, UX/accessibility, web development, or accessibility consulting for public sector or similar environments • Expert knowledge of WCAG, ADA Titles II & III, Section 504/508, and relevant state/local digital accessibility requirements • Experience using common accessibility testing tools and assistive technologies, including browser extensions, screen readers, and keyboard-only navigation • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including explaining technical issues to non-technical audiences • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with municipal and state clients and cross-functional internal teams • Representative examples of websites worked on, including role and accessibility responsibilities for each site • Sample accessibility evaluation or audit report authored by the candidate • Preferred: IAAP CPACC, WAS, CPWA, or similar accessibility certification or related accessibility credential • Preferred: Experience working with government entities, higher education, healthcare, or other complex public-serving institutions • Familiarity with accessible document creation in Word, PowerPoint, and PDF and with digital forms • Familiarity with assistive technologies and inclusive design principles • Experience with digital accessibility for web, documents, and forms in relation to WCAG standards • Ability to occasionally travel as needed
