📋 Description

• Represent Medtronic during surgical procedures by ensuring required equipment and products are available • Provide technical support, device selection, programming, and testing of device systems • Manage patients through all phases of the clinical process and educate them on Medtronic products • Provide clinical support in surgeries, re-programmings, troubleshooting, and follow-ups in hospitals and clinics • Respond to technical inquiries from customers, patients, and colleagues • Maintain knowledge of competitive products • Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel, and office staff through teaching sessions, in-services, education programs, seminars, and symposia • Assist management and Sales Training with training new district employees • Complete event reporting and documentation using Medtronic technology tools • Place customer-service orders for pending purchase orders and product replacement • Work with materials management to collect purchase orders for covered cases • Manage case-coverage inventory, including transactions, cycle counts, product retrievals, turnover, and expiration/hold controls • Contribute to quarterly district, regional, and national goals • Partner with sales representatives to achieve territory and district business goals and document activities • Visit accounts to replenish literature and maintain office-staff relationships • Regularly use Excel, mobile phone, iPad, laptop, and/or Samsung tablet • Manage business expenses and budgets • Complete required therapy training • Work flexible schedules, including weekends and after-hours clinical events • Travel within the district and occasionally to neighboring districts

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED with a minimum 4 years of clinical or medical sales experience; or Associate’s Degree with a minimum 2 years of clinical or medical sales experience; or a Bachelor’s degree • Bachelor’s degree in a health care related field preferred • Registered nurse or HCP with experience in a sterile environment preferred • Clinical experience with implantable neurological products and patient care preferred • Experience servicing medical personnel on product use preferred • Experience with a medical device or pharmaceutical company and clinical experience in neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedic, operating room, pain management, or home health care preferred • Understanding of basic reimbursement and healthcare environment preferred • Ability to function using healthcare universal precautions to minimize exposure to infectious disease and radiation • Ability to serve as primary resource for scheduled and unscheduled clinical events, including weekends, evenings, nights, and overnight travel • Ability to work efficiently and autonomously with little direction outside clinical events • Ability to attend national meetings, district meetings, and other training • Ability to wear a 7–9 lb protective lead apron for extended periods in the operating room • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs • Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for 8+ hours per day • Ability to bend/stoop, squat, and balance frequently • Close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus • Valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance policy required; driving record will be reviewed • Unrestricted U.S. work authorization required at hire and throughout employment • For baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, a degree satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required
