• Manage achievement of unit and revenue goals for assigned therapy products in the district • Assist the district and region in achieving therapy product sales and marketing objectives • Develop and implement strategies to achieve short- and long-term business objectives • Conduct field visits, individual or group meetings, and telephone contacts • Train and develop employees in sales skills, product knowledge, teamwork, time and territory management, competitive knowledge, and career goals • Coordinate sales efforts • Communicate corporate, divisional, regional, and district mission, goals, and activities • Direct and motivate personnel to achieve unit and revenue goals • Provide ongoing feedback and coaching and schedule performance reviews • Implement corrective actions when necessary • Assist employees with individual development plans • Apply customer-focused quality concepts • Manage district assets • Develop and manage budgets and forecasts • Ensure efficient and effective use of inventory and expenses • Negotiate and resolve price and contract issues • Coordinate with sales representatives and managers of other product lines • Develop ethical, long-term customer relationships and represent Medtronic management to customers • Recruit and interview candidates and hire top candidates for open positions • Provide marketing intelligence feedback to Sales and Marketing Management • Perform duties in compliance with the Quality System • Drive to multiple accounts throughout the region
• Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of medical sales experience; or Advanced Degree and 3 years of medical sales and leadership experience • Prior Leadership experience • Successful medical sales record, preferably with Neuromodulation products • Experience with sales and personnel management functions • Knowledge of Medtronic Neuromodulation assigned product/therapy customer base • Additional experience in marketing, training, technical services or related areas • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required • Candidate must reside within the territory • Valid driver's license is essential • Roles below the Principal level require unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment • Ability to travel approximately 50%
