📋 Description

• Design realistic, challenging data science and data engineering tasks • Create exploratory analyses, statistical models, machine learning pipelines, ETL and data pipeline designs, SQL and Python workflows, and experimentation or A/B test write-ups • Write precise, task-specific criteria for data science and data engineering deliverables • Apply consistent, evidence-based judgment so assessments are reproducible and defensible • Receive structured feedback from senior reviewers and iterate on submitted work • Train and evaluate frontier AI models • Complete projects on an independent schedule, with projects potentially extended, shortened, or concluded early based on needs and performance • Work on projects that train and enhance AI systems

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of professional data science, data engineering or machine learning experience • Experience at a leading technology or quantitative firm, top financial institution, top-tier consulting firm, or Fortune 100 company • Mid-senior level title, or qualifying Applied Scientist, Research Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer/Scientist, senior, or manager-level role as applicable • Strong command of Python, SQL, statistical modeling, machine learning, experimentation and causal inference • Proven ability to turn messy real-world data into rigorous analyses and reliable pipelines • Excellent written English and ability to explain technical findings clearly • Bachelor's degree from an English-speaking country • Detail-oriented and consistent approach to evaluating complex work • Comfortable receiving feedback and calibrating judgment against set standards • Must be based in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand • Independent contractor status • H1-B and STEM OPT candidates are not supported
