📋 Description

• Embed with product teams to improve operational maturity through on-call, monitoring, alerting, and runbook practices • Run regular game day exercises with product teams • Implement reliability techniques in Haskell and TypeScript application code, including retries, improved error handling, logging, and circuit breaking • Steer SLOs toward meaningful customer outcomes • Champion reliability practices through design-document and code reviews • Identify and close observability gaps affecting debugging, incident response, and business intelligence • Advocate for longer-term improvements driven by non-product engineering teams • Participate in product-team or general engineering on-call rotations and improve incident-learning processes

🎯 Requirements

• Past Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps experience • Measurable examples of influencing an organization towards greater reliability • Significant experience with PostgreSQL • Experience authoring and operating Temporal workflows • Experience with observability platforms such as Grafana or Honeycomb • Familiarity with OpenTelemetry • Ability to work in San Francisco, New York, Portland, or remotely within Canada or the United States
