📋 Description

• Design, implement, administer, and support critical, high-transactional systems with direct customer, revenue, and/or compliance impact • Implement infrastructure systems and components supporting business and IT applications, including hardware, servers, operating systems, packaged software, configuration files, security certificates, database systems, and appliances • Conduct installations, configurations, updates, documentation, and knowledge transfer independently • Analyze, diagnose, isolate, and identify system problems; create short-term solutions and long-term remediation plans • Contribute to compliance activities such as reporting, baselines, and verifications • Review non-functional application requirements and propose, design, and deliver supporting infrastructure • Occasionally manage small-scale IT projects or provide technical leadership for architecture design and validation • Share knowledge and mentor less experienced staff • Promote best practices in capacity, asset/inventory, configuration, updates, procurement, and vendor engagement • Develop, design, test, and document scripting, automation, and workflow improvements • Interact professionally with customers, vendors, superiors, and peers

🎯 Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience • Minimum 5 to 7 years of prior working experience in systems engineering or a related field in a medium or large organization • Strong knowledge of Linux fundamentals, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux, container platforms, and Kubernetes distributions • Advanced Bash and shell scripting skills for Linux systems administration, automation, monitoring, and operational tooling • Experience with enterprise networking concepts and technologies, including proxies, virtual IPs (VIPs), bastion hosts, connectivity, and traffic-management patterns • Hands-on experience administering Proxmox and at least one major cloud platform, such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure • Strong experience with GitHub, repository administration, branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews, and CI/CD workflows • Experience implementing GitOps practices • Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration-management tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or comparable platforms • Ability to design and maintain automated deployment pipelines across development, test, and production environments • Experience with DevOps and automation toolsets such as Jenkins and PowerShell • Deep understanding of infrastructure security, including authentication, authorization, permissions, IAM roles, SSH keys, certificates, KMS, CIS, SOX, and PCI • Experience supporting enterprise application and middleware technologies, including Apache, Tomcat, messaging platforms, Spring Boot applications, and related production services • Ability to partner with engineering, security, and operations teams • Regular attendance on a full-time schedule of at least 8 hours and 40 hours per week
