📋 Description

• Act as Lead Engineer on moderately complex studies and settings projects • Interface with clients, other engineering firms, and internal departments • Identify study/settings input requirements and coordinate collection of input information and data • Conceptualize initial design approaches for major project phases or take overall engineering responsibility for routine projects • Prepare and verify calculations using engineering formulas, skills, or application-specific software • Manage personal task assignments within scope, schedule, and budget • Monitor project milestones and schedules • Perform technical and coordination checking/review of deliverables and project or study documents • Ensure deliverables comply with procedures and applicable design requirements • Prepare reports documenting study or settings processes and results • Assist clients with compliance requirements • Mentor less experienced associates • Accept responsibility for technical adequacy of deliverables • Lead studies and complete assignments on schedule and under budget • Develop relay protection schemes using microprocessor-based relays for transmission and distribution assets • Perform protective device coordination for transmission lines, buses, transformers, capacitor banks, circuit breakers, and reactors • Develop logic settings for relay schemes • Perform area protective device coordination studies • Develop system component modeling

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or better in Electrical Engineering • 5 years of experience collaborating with both internal and external customers • Minimum of 6 years Utility / Substation Experience with a focus on Settings and/or Studies strongly preferred • Experience with PSCAD, MathCAD, SKM CAPE, ASPEN, acSELerator (SEL-5030), ETAP, Siemens PSS E preferred • Experience with CAD preferred • Advanced calculation skills • Advanced electrical schematics skills • Advanced electrical systems skills • Collaboration skills • PMP or PE preferred
