📋 Description

• Oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under GAAP and IFRS • Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports to internal and external stakeholders • Maintain knowledge of accounting standards, regulations, and reporting requirements • Coordinate and manage regulatory filings, including SEC Forms 10-Q and 10-K and other statutory reports • Lead the external audit process and act as the primary liaison with auditors • Address audit findings and implement recommendations to strengthen internal controls and reporting processes • Identify process enhancements, streamline workflows, and automate reporting processes • Develop and implement financial reporting best practices • Manage and mentor financial reporting professionals • Conduct performance evaluations and provide training and development opportunities • Analyze and provide commentary on financial results, trends, and variances for senior management • Collaborate with accounting, tax, treasury, and FP&A teams • Prepare Form 10-Qs and Form 10-Ks, including financial statements and footnotes, in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements • Assist with Form 8-Ks, Proxy Statements, and other SEC filings • Perform close activities and prepare recurring and non-recurring journal entries for corporate or technical accounting functions • Support technical accounting projects including equity award valuation, lease modifications, goodwill impairment testing, and adoption of new accounting pronouncements • Participate in or lead special and cross-functional projects • Identify opportunities for reporting process improvements and automation initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or auditing • In-depth knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and relevant regulatory requirements • Proficiency in financial reporting software and ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite • Advanced skills in Excel and financial analysis tools • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting complex financial information clearly to stakeholders • Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering collaboration and high performance • Must fulfill physical requirements including extended sitting, computer use, typing, and frequent keyboard and mouse use • Mesa Labs conducts criminal background checks upon offer acceptance
