📋 Description

• Maintain and optimize the enterprise observability platform including Grafana, Grafana Tempo, Dynatrace, Splunk, and syslog • Monitor system health and performance metrics to proactively identify and resolve potential issues • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to application performance, reliability, and functionality • Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for observability and performance issues • Create and maintain dashboards, alerts, and reports to support operational visibility • Collaborate with network engineering and automation teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of monitoring systems • Lead root cause analysis for critical incidents and contribute to post-mortem processes • Mentor junior engineers on observability tooling and troubleshooting methodologies • Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to support knowledge sharing and operational efficiency • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response as needed • Perform other job-related duties as requested

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) • 5+ years of experience in observability, operations, or related infrastructure roles • Hands-on experience with Grafana, Grafana Tempo, Dynatrace, Splunk, and syslog • Strong proficiency with Linux systems and command-line tools • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, etc.) • Experience with Kubernetes and containerized application environments • Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Bash, or similar) • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills • Ability to work independently in a remote setting • Willingness to work as a team and independently • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. • Experience in telecom or large-scale distributed systems environments • Familiarity with distributed tracing and APM concepts • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible)
