âą Coordinate permitting activities based on direction from OSP Construction âą Determine necessary permits and coordinate internal and external resources and permitting entities to release passes to construction âą Interact daily with agencies to obtain approvals, submit permit applications, and prepare timely responses âą Interact with internal departments to build relationships and help internal clients expand Metronet services âą Manage work within scheduled expectations, remove roadblocks, and use analytics to anticipate and avoid future roadblocks âą Apply technical and creative solutions to complete permitting acquisitions âą Forecast permit release dates so construction can plan resources âą Guide internal resources to ensure pole applications are submitted correctly and on time âą Assemble, submit, and track permit applications; notify management of delays with actionable solutions âą Coordinate with centralized permit teams to align permit submittals with field construction schedules âą Monitor and track permit packages through online systems, email, or in person âą Monitor projects and communicate the status of each permit âą Travel to locations to expedite and facilitate permit approval processes âą Perform other duties as assigned
âą High school diploma or GED required âą Experience with permitting in multiple states preferred âą Experience working in multidiscipline and cross-functional teams preferred âą Ability to work within a team, lead multiple personalities, and drive projects to conclusion âą Organization and strong problem-solving aptitude required âą Ability to interact with all levels of the organization, including external agencies required âą Strong social, verbal, and written communication skills required âą Ability to work independently and with a team âą Must reside in Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio, Texas, or Wisconsin âą Ability to work with the Central Time Zone
