📋 Description

• Perform varied accounting functions, including assisting with monthly financial statement preparation under GAAP and company policies • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations • Complete ad-hoc accounting projects requested by management • Record transactional activity accurately and timely in the general ledger • Evaluate and implement internal controls • Provide accurate routine and ad-hoc financial reporting • Plan resources and ensure analytical and control activities operate effectively • Supervise projects according to plans • Participate in implementation of corporate-department systems and processes • Ensure accounting records and practices adhere to GAAP, MGM Resorts International accounting policies, and consistent standards across business units • Supervise resource allocation and performance to meet internal customer expectations and service-level agreements • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international requirements, including SOX, gaming regulations, IRS, anti-money laundering laws, and internal control requirements • Lead and communicate corporate strategies delivering high-quality, cost-effective support services • Promote teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field • 3+ years of prior relevant experience in auditing or accounting • Experience working with all levels of management, including executives, and consulting with key business stakeholders (preferred) • Experience pulling financial reports and using financial data for recommendations and decisions (preferred) • Experience preparing and reviewing general ledger account reconciliations (preferred) • Experience with monthly and quarterly financial reporting, including P&L review (preferred) • 2+ years of gaming industry experience (preferred) • Knowledge and experience with MGM Resorts International gaming and financial systems, including Tandem, CMS, MachineAccounting, CBS, Bravo Poker, XpertX, Mlife, Showcase Strategy, Cognos Finance, Oracle ERP Cloud, and Oracle EPM Cloud (preferred) • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office programs: Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel (preferred) • Bilingual English, with English as the primary or secondary language (preferred) • Previous experience working in a similar corporate setting (preferred) • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) • Knowledge of internal controls, SOX, gaming regulations, IRS requirements, anti-money laundering laws, and financial reporting
