📋 Description

• Write and adapt standards-aligned Social Studies curriculum for grades K-5 • Create engaging lesson plans, assessments, and student materials that foster civic understanding and historical thinking • Write and adapt Social Studies curriculum and instructional materials, including units, lesson plans, assessments, and student materials • Collaborate with subject matter experts, editors, and instructional designers • Incorporate evidence-based best practices in Social Studies instruction • Revise materials based on client feedback • Support development of professional learning materials for teachers • Apply knowledge of current trends in Social Studies education • Integrate innovative strategies and tools to enhance learner engagement

🎯 Requirements

• Excellent writing skills required • Educational writing experience preferred • Exceptional attention to detail • Commitment to educational equity • Comfort with project management tools and deadlines • Ability and willingness to work up to 50 hours per week based on project needs and deadlines • Commitment to organizational mission and inclusion • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to manage, prioritize, and multitask • Ability to navigate ambiguity and meet frequent deadlines • Sense of humor and ability to work in a dynamic environment • Experience (professional, internship, or volunteer) in education preferred
