📋 Description

• Provide analytical support for healthcare-related provider payment transformation engagements • Support reimbursement methodology design, rate setting, and program funding strategies for provider services • Analyze healthcare data, including claims datasets, service-related trend data, provider cost data, and publicly available data such as BLS data • Design, develop, and use data models • Review, evaluate, and summarize data model output • Assist with Medicaid policy research and analysis • Draft technical documentation, client reports, and PowerPoint presentations • Review others’ work to support Milliman’s quality control processes

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher • Minimum of 2 years of experience analyzing large data sets • Experience using database management and statistical programming tools, including SAS, SQL, or Python • Ability to write or learn SAS code without point-and-click user interfaces is required • Experience with Python and Databricks is preferred • Interest and aptitude for detail-oriented analytical work • Ability to effectively communicate technical information and concepts verbally and in writing • Ability to conduct and summarize research • Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, including Sumifs, Index/match combinations, nested if statements, and macro use and development up to full VBA coding • Experience in a healthcare-related field, specifically analyzing Medicaid claims, is required • Experience providing consulting services to state Medicaid or other health and human services agencies, or healthcare-related entities, is a plus • Strong problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting code, identifying root causes, and resolving issues independently • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without immigration support or sponsorship from Milliman now or in the future
