📋 Description

• Lead the design of mechanical systems supporting data center operations, including HVAC, cooling, and thermal management • Oversee optimization of mechanical infrastructure for reliability, efficiency, and energy sustainability • Plan and implement scalable mechanical systems with cross-functional teams • Provide technical leadership in daily operations and resolve mechanical system issues • Develop initiatives to reduce energy consumption and data center carbon footprint • Manage large-scale projects from design through installation and commissioning • Work with suppliers and contractors to source compliant equipment and materials within budget • Lead engineers and collaborate with electrical, civil engineering, IT, and facilities management teams • Ensure mechanical systems comply with regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically in data centers, facilities management, or critical infrastructure environments • Experience managing multi-disciplinary projects, including budget management and stakeholder communication • Strong analytical skills to diagnose and solve complex mechanical issues quickly and efficiently • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers • Knowledge of energy-efficient and sustainable technologies applied to large-scale data centers • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain highly technical information clearly • Able to travel 25% • B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field • Expertise in HVAC, cooling systems, chilled water systems, and mechanical infrastructure within high-performance computing environments
