📋 Description

• Create and revise 2D CAD drawings, including floor plans, wiring diagrams, device layouts, control schematics, and riser diagrams • Translate engineer and designer markups into clean, accurate drawings • Update and organize CAD files, layers, title blocks, and drawing standards • Prepare as-built drawings from field markups and installation changes • Assist with project submittal packages, control diagrams, and detail sheets • Collaborate with designers, engineers, project managers, and field technicians to align drawings with design intent and field conditions • Incorporate mechanical, electrical, and architectural backgrounds to place devices and equipment correctly • Participate in internal drawing reviews for accuracy and project compliance • Communicate inconsistencies or missing information in sketches and specifications • Ensure drawings comply with company standards, templates, and file-naming conventions • Maintain version control and document revisions throughout the project lifecycle • Check drawings for dimensional accuracy, clarity, and constructability

🎯 Requirements

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D required) • Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, and architectural drawings • Strong understanding of drafting principles, layers, scaling, lineweights, and annotation standards • High attention to detail and accuracy in drawing production • Ability to work from verbal instructions, sketches, markups, and redline drawings • Strong organization and time-management skills • Preferred experience drafting for HVAC, electrical, controls, or MEP projects • Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD Electrical, or Bluebeam • Basic understanding of building systems, including HVAC, lighting, and control devices • Experience with control diagrams, one-lines, or schematics • Associate degree or certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a similar field
