📋 Description

• Oversee the accounts payable team • Manage the accounts payable workflow process • Direct invoice processing and approve disbursements • Ensure accurate payment and accounting for payables, including G/L coding, accounting periods, allocations, and prepaid expenses • Manage vendor and customer relations • Review vendor maintenance and ACH requests • Coordinate interfaces between billing, accounts payable, and general ledger systems • Resolve vendor account discrepancies with departments and vendors • Partner with departments to research and interpret accounting policy and address operational issues • Develop, implement, and maintain systems, procedures, policies, and AP best practices • Oversee the inter-company voucher process and AP/AR payment applications • Prepare monthly and yearly accruals and accounting adjustments • Identify and communicate account aging issues • Record M&A payable adjustments and expense accrual journal entries • Maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders • Drive continuous improvement by removing barriers to accuracy, productivity, and quality • Support Finance Leadership with key performance reports for operations and corporate management • Work on special projects directed by Accounting Leadership • Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor

🎯 Requirements

• Five plus years of accounts payable experience • At least two years in a supervisory role • Thorough understanding of accounts payable functions • Excellent organizational ability and time management skills • Ability to work independently, in a team environment, and lead or participate in cross-functional teams • Commitment to data quality and high standards for accuracy • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, technology-driven, service environment • Strong communication, interpersonal, written communication, and presentation skills • Excellent problem diagnosis and analytical skills • Experience in a geographically distributed, multi-site organization and with multiple systems highly desirable • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite or related software • Excellent supervisory and analytical skills • Strong attention to detail • Ability to motivate staff • Experience with an OCR-based AP system preferred • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including occasionally lifting, pushing, or moving office equipment up to 25 pounds • Ability to wear approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required
