📋 Description

• The COBOL Developer will work on development and integration of services in a legacy Mainframe environment. • Operate and monitor batch networks in Control‑M (Mainframe), ensuring SLAs. • Respond quickly to abends/failures in the network: analysis, correction, release and reprocessing/restart. • Perform quick program investigations to identify root cause and execution parameters. • Implement changes in JCLs and COBOL/DB2 programs (steps, DDs, parameters, datasets, conditionals, RCs). • Adjust and validate SYSINs (cards/execution parameterization). • Make changes and perform analyses on COBOL programs/JCLs following the change process (when applicable).

🎯 Requirements

• Solid experience with Control‑M on Mainframe (dependencies, rerun/restart, troubleshooting) • Proficiency in JCL and SYSIN • Experience in failure analysis and working in TSO/ISPF environment • Practical knowledge of batch: RC/steps, datasets (e.g., GDG/VSAM depending on the client context) • Availability to work afternoon or night shifts and weekends (shift rotation) • Differentials: Maintenance and analysis in COBOL/DB2 • Knowledge of Oracle databases • Knowledge of utilities (e.g., SORT, IDCAMS) • Experience with support tools • Experience with change management tools (e.g., ChangeMan) • Solid experience in online environments • Proficiency in CICS and COBOL/DB2 • Availability to work weekends (shift rotation) • Academic degree completed or in progress in IT-related courses
