📋 Description

• Support identifying and securing optimal sites for solar and battery projects • Conduct market and financial analysis • Monitor regulatory requirements for renewable energy projects • Conduct preliminary permitting screening with local jurisdictions and support early project permitting • Analyze energy data and utility rates • Support project permitting and interconnection • Conduct outreach to landowners via mailers and phone calls • Conduct site visits to assess physical conditions, access, and surrounding land use • Conduct desktop searches for potential project sites using ArcGIS • Establish and maintain a site selection database • Assist with acquiring lease and purchase options and easements • Support real estate transaction activity, acquisition target screening, and negotiations for options, leases, and easements • Identify transaction, title, and environmental risks and mitigation strategies • Support preparation of real property components for project financing, including clearing title matters and commissioning Phase I Environmental reports and ALTA Surveys • Create appropriate land and transaction documentation and maintain orderly databases • Track and report project budgets and schedules • Provide regular reporting on site acquisition progress • Identify process improvements and implement enhanced real estate practices • Advise internal staff on fatal flaws or issues that may prohibit acquisition or development • Elevate issues to Managers as necessary • Collaborate with development, permitting, development engineering, and finance teams

🎯 Requirements

• Entry-level position • A Bachelor's Degree is required • Proficiency in Google Earth and Microsoft Excel • Ability to travel within the United States up to 25% of the time • Strong organizational, project management, problem-solving, analytical, commercial, oral communication, and written communication skills • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing deadlines • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external clients, consultants, and landowners • Contract drafting and review skills are a plus • Knowledge of Smartsheet, Google Drive, or ArcGIS is a plus • Understanding of real estate acquisition contract terms and strong negotiation skills are a plus • Exposure to the renewable energy industry is a plus • Must be highly personable and self-starting
