📋 Description

• Coordinate key LIHTC acquisition and development activities, including due diligence, site visits, state housing agency requirements, HUD-related submissions, relocation planning, soft-funding applications, and coordination with internal KCG departments • Assist in identifying and evaluating affordable multifamily acquisition and development opportunities, including underwriting and analysis of project feasibility • Prepare, update, and analyze financial models, operating budgets, development budgets, and other financial information • Research and track market, regulatory, and financing information relevant to acquisition decisions • Coordinate and review third-party due diligence materials, including market studies, rent comparability studies, appraisals, environmental reports, geotechnical reports, surveys, engineering reports, architectural materials, design documents, and marketing-related materials • Assist with preparation and submission of tax credit applications, HUD submissions, financing applications, and other required materials • Assist with contract preparation, transaction documentation, and negotiations • Prepare materials and presentations for Investment and Operations Committee meetings and internal approval processes • Manage and maintain project information using KCG-approved systems and software, including DealPath or successor platforms • Assist with closing-related due diligence and coordination involving debt providers, equity partners, public agencies, consultants, and internal stakeholders • Prepare or assist with required reports and submissions to state housing finance agencies and other governmental or financing entities • Assist with presentations and supporting materials for community meetings, governmental approvals, and external stakeholder processes • Maintain understanding of assigned projects from initial sourcing through acquisition, development, closing, construction, and stabilization • Communicate project status, risks, deadlines, and outstanding items to internal and external stakeholders • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience • At least two years of relevant experience in real estate development, acquisitions, affordable housing, finance, underwriting, project management, or a related field • Degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, Architecture, Urban Planning, Engineering, or a related field is preferred • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • Effective project-management and time-management skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders • Ability to interpret financial, operational, regulatory, and project-related information • Ability to work independently while appropriately escalating significant risks and decisions • Experience with affordable multifamily housing or LIHTC transactions is preferred • Experience with financial modeling and real estate underwriting is preferred • Experience with market research and real estate valuation is preferred • Experience working with state housing finance agencies, HUD, financing partners, or other public-sector stakeholders is preferred • Familiarity with DealPath or similar real estate transaction-management platforms is preferred
