📋 Description

• Schedule and coordinate microbiological testing across all SKUs and co-manufacturers • Generate and track lab submission forms from sample collection through results review and release • Execute monthly hold/release decisions across all SKUs • Review cutting forms, log results, send release emails, and maintain release records • Coordinate monthly production verification and nutritional testing • Monitor the CS-Food channel as the primary QA point of contact • Triage customer complaints, classify severity, request additional information, and determine escalation requirements • Resolve low-complexity complaints and escalate food-safety or high-impact issues to the Sr. Manager, FSQA • Open and document formal quality investigations under the Sr. Manager, FSQA's direction • Gather lab results, batch records, cutting forms, supplier COAs, and complaint history • Coordinate with co-manufacturers and suppliers to collect root-cause data • Draft investigation reports and CAPA documentation for review and sign-off • Support food-safety investigations involving microbiology, raw materials, and production records • Log testing, hold/release, and complaint data in internal compliant trackers • Maintain co-manufacturer and supplier quality-document libraries • Produce the weekly QA digest and provide data for reporting and trend analysis • Represent QA on co-manufacturer and 3PL quality calls • Communicate hold/release instructions, tickets, and sample-inspection requirements to 3PLs • Communicate investigation results and feedback to Customer Support

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Animal Science, or a related field • 1–3 years of experience in a food, beverage, or pet food QA role • Working knowledge of micro testing protocols, including APC, listeria, salmonella, and E. coli • Experience with lab coordination workflows • Strong communication skills across co-mans, labs, Customer Support, and internal operations via Slack and email • Demonstrated attention to detail with high-volume documentation • Comfort with ambiguity and the operational tempo of a fast-growing CPG • Willingness to travel • HACCP and/or PCQI certification (nice to have) • Prior experience with co-man networks and SARF/cutting form workflows (nice to have) • Pet food, fresh food, or freeze-dried manufacturing experience (nice to have) • Exposure to investigation/CAPA methodology (nice to have) • Comfort with AI-assisted workflows (nice to have)
