📋 Description

• Serve as the accounting owner of all property acquisition, disposition, and management transition activities • Oversee balance sheet setup, GL mapping, cost segregation analysis, settlement statement review, and opening/closing journal entries • Review and approve proration workbooks, cash analysis, and support transition reconciliations • Ensure client-specific accounting requirements, policies, banking instructions, and reporting expectations are documented and implemented • Coordinate accounting deliverables with Operations, Transactions, Asset Management, Ownership Groups, and third-party stakeholders • Escalate material delays, risks, or persistent close issues to the Residential Controller with recommended solutions • Lead accounting activities for property acquisitions, dispositions, management transitions, portfolio conversions, and strategic departmental initiatives • Coordinate and complete transaction-related accounting activities from due diligence through final transition and stabilization

🎯 Requirements

• Strong technical expertise in property accounting, GAAP, and financial reporting • Knowledge of property acquisition, disposition, and transition accounting • Prior experience and knowledge in the reading, understanding and analysis of financial statements • Knowledge of project management methodologies and process improvement practices • Advanced skill level with Microsoft Excel • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. • Unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa
