📋 Description

• Own the monthly accounting close and ensure it is completed consistently and on time • Partner with external providers on monthly close procedures and reconciliations • Partner with department leaders on expense tagging, allocations, and reporting • Prepare the reporting package after close • Build revenue reporting processes using newly implemented tooling to automate self-serve and enterprise revenue lines • Apply revenue recognition under ASC 606 • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, vendor management, accounting policies, sales tax, and 1099s • Establish and maintain internal controls appropriate for the company’s size • Document and reconcile accounting processes to support audit readiness • Build and improve accounting processes, policies, reporting, tooling, and internal systems • Collaborate with leaders across the company to enhance internal tooling and reporting • Establish a scalable, high-quality accounting function

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related track • 4+ years of accounting experience across public accounting, senior accountant, or accounting manager roles • Hands-on ownership of month-end close and account reconciliations • ASC 6060 revenue recognition experience • Experience preparing PBC support and workpapers for audits and working in audit tools • Highly self-directed; able to work without heavy management or a fully built playbook • Operational experience and deep knowledge of revenue and the broader accounting close • Experience with financial audits and understanding of internal controls • Knowledge of accounting tooling and systems • Ability to build strong reporting processes for high-volume transactions • Experience working with unstructured data • Strong knowledge of spreadsheet formulas and tooling • Comfort with ambiguity and rapidly changing startup environments • CPA or progress toward one (nice to have) • Experience working with external partners in tax and accounting (nice to have) • Experience in a finance or accounting role at a high-growth startup (nice to have) • Must already be authorized to work in the United States
