📋 Description

• Lead and oversee Aerospace & Defense field work • Provide hands-on leadership for on-site inspections, nondestructive testing, and related asset integrity services • Manage field teams executing work at customer facilities, space labs, manufacturing sites, and other operational locations • Deliver projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to required quality and compliance standards • Provide day-to-day management of MISTRAS field activities, including NDT/NDI, access services, and supporting industrial services • Manage project scope, schedule, resources, budget, and deliverables from planning through closeout • Develop and implement planning, cost control, and progress-tracking systems • Direct field supervisors and multi-disciplined crews to ensure productivity, quality, and compliance • Build customer relationships and serve as primary client point of contact • Deliver regular status updates and KPI reports • Ensure adherence to HSE, radiation safety, quality, and regulatory requirements, including Nadcap, AS9100, ITAR, and customer-specific procedures • Lead risk management, resolve field issues, and drive continuous improvement • Assist with proposal development, scope definition, and budget estimation • Prepare daily and weekly status reports, staffing plans, work-location tracking, and performance metrics • Promote employee morale, accountability, and adherence to company policies • Coordinate with In-Labs, Technical Team, Sales, and other MISTRAS resources to support integrated field-to-lab solutions

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related technical field preferred • 5+ years of Project Management or supervisory experience • At least 3–5 years managing field inspection/NDT projects • Solid technical background in nondestructive testing methods, including UT, RT, PT, MT, VT, or advanced techniques • Prior experience in regulated industries with strict quality, safety, and compliance requirements • Strong written and verbal customer relationship and communication skills • Demonstrated leadership of field teams and track record of maintaining exceptional HSE performance and meeting project KPIs • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools • Experience with data extraction, KPI reporting, and large worklists/spreadsheets • Willingness and ability to maintain a strong field presence, including travel to customer sites • U.S. citizenship or ability to meet ITAR and other security/compliance requirements may be necessary depending on specific projects • Active or ability to obtain security clearance preferred for certain defense work • PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred • API, ASNT, or other relevant NDT certifications preferred • Experience with aerospace primes, defense contractors, or FAA-related work preferred • Familiarity with MISTRAS systems or similar asset integrity/project management platforms preferred • Background in rope access, industrial services, or multi-disciplined field crews preferred • Pass pre-employment background check, alcohol/drug screen, and required medical evaluations • Maintain relevant certifications • Highest commitment to safety, quality culture, and ethical conduct
