📋 Description

• Provide the highest level of customer service to internal and external customers • Manage and maintain billing processes • Verify completion of run reports daily and generate a 24-hour report for the manager • Verify and obtain patient demographics, personal insurance information, and required forms • Enter required claim information into the billing system within 72 hours of service • Identify the responsible party for ambulance transports and bill according to payer guidelines • Review the aging report monthly and follow up on claims, reporting outcomes to the manager • Keep the manager informed about insurance denials, patient accounts, and patient complaints • Receive and apply payments for services; check and balance daily • Set up payment arrangements and review calls and financial assistance forms for proper billing

🎯 Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required • Associate’s degree preferred • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work as a team player and independently • Detail orientation while following up on issues • Excellent organizational skills, demonstrated initiative, good judgment, and flexibility • Ability to multitask with frequent interruptions while completing tasks in a timely fashion • Must be able to sit for long periods of time • Must be able to hear well • Must be able to speak, write, and understand English fluently • Strict adherence to HIPAA compliance standards • Abide by federal, state, and local laws
