📋 Description
• Receive calls from providers, patients, clinics or other hospitals to schedule procedure tests. Process calls with exceptional customer service skills (oral, written, and visual communications). • Schedule and arrange procedures and tests for all patients types; arranging various resources such as providers, rooms, equipment, etc. and provides prep, pre-procedure and post-procedure instructions averaging less than 2.5 minute talk time. • Coordinates for proper clinical sequencing of multiple tests, the facility and the service areas. • Reviews orders to ensure meets proper order criterias. • Create a new account number with required information such as diagnosis, indications, minimal history, admitting/ordering/and primary care physician, prompt for and record referral numbers and pre-certification numbers for various health insurance coverage. Question and document patient’s condition according to various clinical screening questions (i.e. MRI). • Identify correct medical record number and records patient information (social security number, date of birth, etc) to maintain accurate Master Person Index. • Notifies security when incarcerated patient is scheduled. • Orders office supplies for department use. • Other duties as assigned
🎯 Requirements
• H.S. Diploma - Required • 1 Year - Experience in Admissions or ancillary service department - Required • Typing skills minimum of 35 wpm. - Required • Clinical experience - Preferred • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - State Licensure - Preferred Upon Hire • Travel to off-site locations may be required. - Required
