📋 Description

• Develop state-of-the-art trajectory optimization algorithms for safe and comfortable vehicle motion • Integrate trajectory optimization algorithms with the overall motion planning architecture • Design and build robust, scalable software for on-road autonomous vehicle impact • Evaluate control techniques and motion planning algorithms • Provide code and design reviews in C++ • Use testing, simulation, and continuous integration toolchains • Explain trade-offs and complex concepts to peers and leaders to drive decisions • Collaborate with ML decision/behavior planning, prediction, and vehicle control teams • Create project proposals supporting long-term technical roadmaps across multiple subsystems • Mentor junior team members • Conduct innovative research and lead design processes for production-ready autonomous vehicles

🎯 Requirements

• 0–3+ years of C++ software development; educational projects, internships, and PhD research count • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred • Experience with Model Predictive Control (MPC), motion planning, planning under uncertainty, vehicle dynamics and control, and simulation environments • Understanding of numerical optimization algorithms, including interior point method and sequential quadratic programming • Experience with optimization solvers such as IPOPT and Gurobi • Past experience owning and leading technical development from problem formulation and algorithm design through implementation • Knowledge of Python is a bonus • Strong team player with excellent communication skills • Must satisfy employment eligibility verification requirements through E-Verify
