• Categorize, code, summarize, interpret, and calculate registry/case information from patient medical records • Ensure accurate submission of data to specified registries or measure data repositories • Prioritize and manage multiple concurrent tasks, team requests, and deadlines • Navigate electronic medical records and registry/case entry tools • Troubleshoot technical issues with systems and applications • Contribute to data dictionaries, abstraction guidelines, business rule documents, and team best practices • Identify process improvement opportunities • Maintain current knowledge of regulatory and publicly reported data requirements • Provide concurrent reviews every other weekend and rotate holidays; receive weekdays off when weekends are worked
• Direct experience in emergency room care, bedside care, medical scribing and coding/billing, or quality information systems • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Teams • Proficiency navigating search engines and multitasking between applications • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills • High standards for accuracy and attention to detail • Technical savvy and willingness to learn new systems and technology • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects/patient records • Clear communication and collaboration skills • Strong self-organization and time management skills • Ability to adapt to changing timelines, requirements, and project assignments • Ability to maintain PHI security and confidentiality • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without sponsorship • Exposure to multiple EMR systems and clinical databases (preferred) • Direct inpatient clinical experience and/or stroke-related case experience (preferred) • RN or LPN credentials (preferred)
