• Shape and execute strategic communications for GCTO’s global workforce of over 10,000 employees • Serve as strategic communications advisor and partner to GCTO leadership and the SVP • Develop and implement enterprise-wide communication, engagement, and change-management strategies • Develop and maintain GCTO’s communications framework, toolkit, channels, and branding consistency • Plan and support major GCTO events, town halls, leadership messaging, and large meetings • Draft and refine executive communications, internal messaging, presentation materials, and narratives • Lead employee engagement initiatives including surveys, listening strategies, and action planning • Analyze feedback, campaign, and channel data and translate findings into recommendations • Measure communication and engagement effectiveness and recommend improvements • Collaborate with leadership, project management offices, GCD, and cross-functional teams on special initiatives • Manage vendor relationships and deliverables • Support change initiatives by aligning training, communications, and leadership messaging • Translate complex scientific, technical, and business concepts into clear narratives for stakeholder audiences
• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, clinical trial operations, operations, or a relevant field; OR advanced degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience • Minimum of 3 years overseeing communication planning in a global, matrixed organization • Ability to translate technical and scientific subject matter into clear narratives • Advanced SharePoint Online administration and page design skills • Experience governing content hubs and basic HTML/UX knowledge • Experience with enterprise communications tools, including email/newsletter platforms, survey tools, and asset libraries • Experience creating and governing templates • Ability to interpret campaign and channel analytics and compile metrics into simple dashboards • Knowledge of internal communications controls, including privacy, accessibility, records retention, and brand/tone standards • Experience applying project management tools and methods • Advanced knowledge of responsible AI use in communications with human oversight • Working proficiency with enterprise-approved digital, data, and AI tools • Must hold GCTO Elevate – Beginner certification within the first 6 months and progress annually to the role-appropriate tier • Exceptional communication skills across executive, organizational, geographic, and functional stakeholders • Experience coordinating and coaching content authors for clarity, quality, tone, and compliance • Experience coordinating teams, partnering across the organization, leading decision-making, and delivering results without positional or program authority • No visa sponsorship • 10% travel required
