📋 Description

• Lead advocacy strategy addressing policy issues affecting the company and pharmaceutical industry • Support strategies for access to and reimbursement of company products within state-funded programs • Support state licensure, economic development, tax, real estate, and employer-related policy issues • Represent the company on regional trade and business association task forces and committees, including PhRMA and BIO task forces • Serve as point lead for assigned policy priorities, above-brand issues, and/or state policy organizations • Participate in internal cross-functional teams • Engage external legislative, policy, and advocacy organizations at state and national levels • Manage company resources within the region • Ensure state advocacy complies with company policy and state and federal laws • Represent the company before executive, legislative, and regulatory bodies in Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required in related field • Minimum 10 years of experience in state government affairs and policy • Demonstrated knowledge of the state legislative policy-making process • Knowledge of policy issues affecting the bio-pharmaceutical industry • Experience analyzing state legislation • Demonstrated ability to influence state legislative policy through direct advocacy • Strong writing and presentation skills • Advanced degree related to public policy preferred • Direct lobbying on bio-pharmaceutical health care issues in multiple states preferred • Ability to work remotely within Texas, Louisiana, or Oklahoma • Ability to travel approximately 40% (also listed as 50% travel requirements)
