📋 Description

• Drive strategic operating priorities as a Regional Medical Scientific Director / Medical Science Liaison in Inflammatory Bowel Disease Immunology • Engage in bidirectional scientific and medical information exchange with scientific leaders • Provide balanced, factual scientific information about non-product areas and respond to scientific questions about company products • Liaise between the scientific community and the company regarding approved, in-development, and active company-sponsored trials and investigator-sponsored research • Serve as a role model for field medical team members through onboarding and sharing therapeutic expertise • Follow field and corporate policies, GMSA strategy, SOPs, GCP guidelines, and administrative responsibilities • Develop professional relationships with national and regional scientific leaders • Conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions and maintain reliable medical contact • Address scientific questions and direct out-of-scope inquiries to appropriate company resources • Maintain current knowledge of the scientific and clinical environment in the assigned therapeutic area • Discuss research strategies, study concepts, scientific merit, and investigator qualifications with scientific leaders and potential investigators • Enhance understanding of investigator-sponsored research foundations and goals • Identify barriers to patient enrollment and retention • Recommend study sites and identify potential investigators for Phase II-IV clinical development programs • Conduct Site Initiation Visits and support study milestones • Perform protocol lead responsibilities in collaboration with Global Clinical Trial Operations • Address investigator questions about company-sponsored clinical studies • Support scientific congresses and medical meetings, facilitating scientific and data exchange • Gather scientific insights about medical/scientific needs, priorities, and concerns of scientific leaders and patients • Promote inclusion, equity, belonging, and empowerment

🎯 Requirements

• Must reside within the Upper Midwest territory • Ability to travel up to 50% within the territory • Required credential: PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD • Three years of relevant Immunology (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) experience beyond that obtained in the terminal degree program • Principled verbal and written communications • Ability to conduct doctoral-level discussions with key external stakeholders • Dedication to scientific excellence, scientific education, and dialogue • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and networking skills • Thorough comprehension of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and other ethical guidelines, laws, and regulations relevant to the pharmaceutical industry and its customers • Ability to organize, prioritize, and work effectively in a constantly changing environment • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, OneNote) • Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms • Valid driving license • No visa sponsorship available • Preferred: additional experience in Immunology Rheumatology and/or Dermatology • Preferred: field-based medical experience • Preferred: research experience • Preferred: demonstrated record of scientific/medical publication • Preferred: People Leadership
