📋 Description

• Provide leadership and oversight for planning, coordination, and execution of software development, application enhancement, and IT operations activities for the Department of State • Serve as the primary management focal point for the project team • Manage technical activities, project schedules, deliverables, and performance requirements • Serve as the single management focal point and maintain responsibility for execution of all project tasks • Provide strategic guidance, vision, and direction to the project team • Manage project plans and schedules to meet cost, schedule, quality, and performance requirements • Drive teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitment among team members • Appraise the COR and Government Technical Manager of significant issues • Maintain effective client-facing and internal communications • Coordinate with government stakeholders and technical personnel to resolve issues and execute projects • Manage IT projects within Agile development and Scrum team environments • Coordinate project activities, schedules, resources, and deliverables across technical and business stakeholders • Bridge gaps between business processes and technical solutions • Facilitate collaboration to ensure project activities address operational and mission requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in statistics, computer science, mathematics, information technology, business, or a related discipline • Minimum 5 years of experience planning, managing, and executing software development or information technology projects; 10 years preferred • Experience managing Agile development teams and facilitating Scrum ceremonies • Experience managing project schedules, deliverables, costs, quality, risks, and performance • Knowledge of IT operations, software development life cycle processes, and project management best practices • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and coordinate activities across business and technical teams • Experience managing customer relationships and communicating with government stakeholders, technical personnel, and senior leadership • Experience supporting the Department of State (DOS) preferred • Experience supporting federal government customers or mission-focused IT programs preferred • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance and meet DOS system-access and badging requirements
