📋 Description

• Deliver steam turbine projects for Own Fleet Capital Parts, complex Upgrades, Engineering Studies, and valve solutions • Provide technical leadership and interface with Proposals, Project Management, Customers, Product Management, Sourcing, and Engineering subcontractors • Support project setup with Engineering, Workshops, Supply Chain, and Field Service functions, defining deliverables, interfaces, and timelines • Manage prioritization and escalations as required • Apply Propolis tools and OneEngineering processes to manage Engineering tasks, budgets, and on-time delivery • Follow global standards and common processes to ensure consistent quality • Ensure compliance and product safety for supplied components according to GE Vernova’s SQDC • Organize and lead Design Reviews during project execution • Drive innovation and lean methodology improvements • Continuously improve processes and tools for the Steam Turbine upgrades team • Monitor project productivity, margin accretion opportunities, and project costs using EAC metrics • Standardize technical documentation and deliverable templates • Lead or participate in Kaizens and Value Stream Activities • Audit the team skill matrix and organize Knowledge Transfer workshops • Support pre-bid proposal reviews by validating engineering hours and material cost estimates • Report to the global Steam Turbine Requisition Engineering Manager within Steam Turbine Services and Gas Power Engineering

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or related field from an accredited college or university • At least 5+ years of combined experience in mechanical engineering of turbomachinery or power plant components, technical field services, repairs, plant operations services, or a related technical function • At least 5 years of experience in project execution activities ranging from typical transactional service business to complex upgrades • Willingness to travel regionally or globally up to 20% of the time • Proven competence and experience in customer negotiation and execution activities • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across functions in a matrix environment • Leadership with uncompromising standards for integrity, compliance, and safety • Strong oral and written communication skills • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including multi-location and multi-cultural experience • Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural environment • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and with external customers/suppliers • Learning agility and motivation to grow into broader project engineering leadership responsibilities • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
