📋 Description

• Own competitive pricing data and methodology; translate competitive position into actionable pricing recommendations • Build price point analyses and recommendations for price architecture changes, including margin impact, elasticity, price gaps, and historical performance • Evaluate promotional incrementality and margin impact; recommend offers to repeat, reshape, or retire • Model markdown depth and timing scenarios; monitor sell-through and margin recovery and recommend corrective action • Develop and maintain pricing scenario tools quantifying P&L impact • Design, own, and improve pricing dashboards and performance reporting • Establish and enforce pricing data integrity standards and reliable data lineage • Automate recurring analysis and reduce manual effort through self-service reporting • Scope, structure, deliver, and present complex ad hoc analyses for Merchants, Finance, and executive leadership • Govern price change execution, validate accuracy across systems and channels, and resolve root-cause exceptions • Maintain auditable pricing governance documentation and change history • Partner with Merchants, Merchandise Finance, and Marketing in cross-functional planning • Set methodology and QA standards and review less experienced analysts’ work

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field • 4–7 years of analytical experience, with demonstrated depth in retail pricing, merchandising, planning, or finance • Advanced Excel skills, including scenario modeling, large dataset handling, and building tools other people rely on • Proficiency in SQL, including the ability to independently source, join, and validate data across systems • Strong command of retail margin mechanics and the levers that drive gross margin performance • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting recommendations to senior leadership • Demonstrated ability to work independently in ambiguous situations and to mentor less experienced analysts • Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or comparable visualization tools, including dashboard design (preferred) • Furniture, home, or big-ticket retail experience (preferred) • Experience with pricing, promotion, or markdown optimization tools (preferred) • Exposure to elasticity modeling (preferred)
