📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack software applications, APIs, and data services supporting the Sample Management and analytics platform • Work closely with architecture and product teams to drive complex system design • Perform code reviews and mentor the development team on best practices • Make key design and technical implementation decisions for complex systems and help guide engineering vision • Work with stakeholders to define requirements and transform them into scalable, reliable, developer-friendly REST microservice APIs • Design, build, and maintain sustainable business application systems, including Snowflake data pipelines and analytics services • Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, and Design teams on new customer experiences

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of overall software development experience • Experience building secure, scalable web applications with frontend and backend technologies • Experience with TypeScript • Experience with Python and modern backend frameworks, especially FastAPI, Pydantic, and Uvicorn • Experience designing and building RESTful APIs • Experience with React, ideally Material UI and Vite • Experience with Docker, AWS ECS Fargate, and AWS CDK • Experience with cloud providers; AWS preferred • Experience with Snowflake and dbt for data warehousing and analytics • Experience with SQL databases including PostgreSQL or MySQL • Experience with microservice architecture, cross-platform integration, and scalable applications • Experience across the software development lifecycle, including configuration, change control, release, and deployment • Strong relational database design and optimization skills • Full-stack web application programming skills • Knowledge of AWS services and infrastructure • Knowledge of CI/CD, specifically GitLab CI • Automated testing with pytest, Vitest, and Playwright • Knowledge of identity and integration platforms such as Okta, Jira, and Slack • Quality assurance mindset • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
