📋 Description

• Process invoices from NEF vendors related to corporate entity maintenance and compliance • Process legal invoices from outside counsel, including preparing and submitting payment requests • Coordinate with NEF accounting departments and outside counsel billing departments • Manage legal document deliverables for multifamily affordable housing real estate development equity investment and loan closings • Manage legal document deliverables for multifamily affordable housing real estate investment fund closings • Prepare internal funding disbursement requests for equity investment and loan closings and post-closing disbursements • Work with project management, asset management, and investor relations departments on pre-closing and post-closing matters • Assist with forming corporations and limited liability companies • Track NEF legal entity compliance, formation, dissolution, and filings • Assist with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development filings, LLCI filings, Know Your Customer filings, local municipality economic disclosure statement filings, and similar filings • Perform other assigned tasks

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with prior experience in a corporate law department or law firm environment • Paralegal Certificate • Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience in real estate finance, general commercial real estate matters, or commercial finance transactions • Effective communication with NEF legal staff, management, and staff in other departments • Ability to interface effectively with investors, developers, vendors, and other third parties • Attention to detail • Good communication, writing, and organizational skills • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced work environment
