📋 Description

• Manage a portfolio of 80-120 major donors and prospects with capacity to make annual gifts of $5,000+ • Develop and execute short- and long-term major giving strategies • Develop messaging and coordinated communications strategies for major donors • Conduct donor and prospect research • Cultivate, solicit, and steward donors through virtual meetings, phone calls, personalized mail, and in-person meetings • Record donor interactions and meeting reports in the database • Meet portfolio goals for donor meetings and personalized contacts • Plan and execute donor cultivation events, salons, Emersonian Dinners, and similar major-gift events • Establish and execute a communications calendar for the major gifts audience • Develop personalized donor proposals and stewardship reports • Prepare donor briefings and memoranda for organizational leadership • Support stewardship and outreach by NILC and IJF board members • Identify prospects, transition donors into the major gifts program, and develop upgrade strategies • Monitor and analyze revenue performance and donor strategy • Maintain donor engagement and moves-management records in Raiser’s Edge • Represent NILC and stay informed about its local, state, and national work • Collaborate with development, communications, operations, senior leadership, and program staff

🎯 Requirements

• High School diploma required • 7-10+ years of experience required, including at least two years in the nonprofit industry, specifically nonprofit fundraising • Progressive responsibility and a proven record of securing visits with prospective donors and soliciting, closing, and stewarding mid and major gifts • Excellent interpersonal, oral, written communication, and presentation skills • Strong organizational skills • Ability to develop long-term plans, set objectives, and track progress • Proficiency with MS Office, internet research, virtual collaboration tools, and in-office and virtual environments • Experience with and strategic use of at least one advanced CRM • Familiarity with moves management preferred • Experience with Raiser’s Edge NXT database preferred • Commitment to NILC & IJF’s mission and human rights, racial, economic, and social justice, and equity, diversity, inclusion, and justice • Flexibility to travel and work occasional evenings and/or weekends for donor meetings and events • Must live in one of the specified remote work locations
