📋 Description

• Lead and manage a portfolio of developing carbon projects through the Project Design phase and across the project lifecycle • Define project scope, schedules, budgets, work plans, roles, milestones, risks, and dependencies • Coordinate NCSA Technical, Social, Finance, and Business Incubator teams and regional Business Unit partners • Monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, conduct corrective action, and escalate when needed • Lead administrative and contracting processes and coordinate project documentation across sub-teams • Prepare stakeholder-specific reporting, project updates, decision summaries, takeaways, and action items • Ensure program commitments, TNC policies, financial standards, and legal requirements are met • Support development of carbon project development documents, validation readiness, and business, operational, and financial capabilities for outside capital • Coordinate Business Incubator cohort programming, including facilitators, speakers, and mentors • Support Business Incubator approach, curriculum, tooling, cohort delivery, scaling, and continuous improvement • Create systems for capturing lessons learned and feedback to inform program design • Maintain Business Incubator data management and project tracking systems • Monitor budgets, portfolio KPIs, project-level spend, and quarterly reporting • Identify external trends, market opportunities, and collaboration prospects for the Business Incubator portfolio

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years’ related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience • At least 2 years of project management experience, or 1 year acting as a project lead on a complex, multi-stakeholder project • Experience managing and tracking multiple concurrent projects across varied teams • Experience working with cross-functional staff • Strong communication and presentation skills, including translating complex information for varied audiences • Experience managing scheduling and financial aspects of small to large projects ranging from short to long term • Familiarity with business model development, social enterprises, or investment readiness frameworks, ideally from a carbon finance perspective • Multi-lingual skills and cross-cultural experience preferred; Spanish or Swahili proficiency preferred • Experience working with global projects or in emerging markets • Project management certification such as PMP or equivalent, or completed project management training, preferred • Experience applying project management tools and methodologies • Experience in program or curriculum development, capacity building, business incubation/acceleration, or entrepreneurship support • Track record implementing strategic program goals across complex, multi-stakeholder environments • Experience in carbon markets, climate finance, natural climate solutions, or conservation finance • Successful completion of The Nature Conservancy’s background screening process • For U.S.-based applicants, employment is subject to applicable U.S. requirements; the role may otherwise be based in a country where TNC has an established entity
