📋 Description

• Provide financial management support across a shared services unit for Florida and Georgia • Partner with the Finance Manager, Finance Director, and business unit staff • Oversee and manage accounts payable and vendor administration • Support budgeting, forecasting, financial close, reporting, and financial management activities • Prepare and deliver financial reports, analyses, reconciliations, and other financial deliverables • Monitor financial performance and identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities • Communicate findings and recommendations to Finance Managers, Finance Directors, and business leaders • Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and quality of financial data, reporting, systems, and business processes • Support compliance with policies, internal controls, audit requirements, donor restrictions, and regulatory requirements • Provide guidance and training to staff on finance processes, systems, reporting tools, and procedures • Partner with Operations, Conservation, and Philanthropy staff on financial planning and organizational priorities • Contribute to finance initiatives, process improvements, system implementations, and cross-functional projects • Respond to moderately complex financial questions and support informed decision-making

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field and 3 years' related experience or equivalent combination • Experience with accounting/financial issues and analysis • Experience using accounting and financial reporting systems • Technical experience with spreadsheet programs, general ledger reports and financial management tools • Experience with GAAP, practices and regulations • Experience, coursework or other training with U.S. Federal Uniform Guidance, state and local regulations, multilateral and international regulations, and standard contract clauses, as applicable • Ability to manipulate, analyze and interpret data • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel • Strong organizational skills • Accuracy, attention to detail and ability to multitask • Non-profit accounting experience • Technical expertise on complex accounting/financial issues may be required • US government grants accounting experience • Valid driver's license • Compliance with TNC’s Auto Safety Program • Completion of a Vehicle Use Agreement, which may include a motor vehicle record review • Successful completion of The Nature Conservancy's background screening process
