📋 Description

• Lead the design, architecture, and development of Java and PL/SQL-based applications • Implement and optimize business logic using PL/SQL packages, procedures, and triggers alongside Pension’s proprietary tools • Translate functional requirements into robust, scalable technical designs and specifications • Drive performance optimization, scalability, and data integrity across the application stack • Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and provide technical guidance • Perform unit testing and ensure deliverables meet quality and security standards • Collaborate with project teams to define scope, timelines, and deliverables • Mentor and coach team members • Champion new technologies, automation, and DevOps practices • Establish and maintain application security, data protection, and coding standards • Document software architecture, processes, and solutions • Contribute to client implementation projects through technical leadership and consulting expertise

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field • Minimum of 7 years of progressive software development experience, including system design and architecture • Advanced experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL and Java • Strong understanding of relational database design, performance tuning, and optimization • Experience with Oracle APEX, Git, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and UNIX Bash scripting • Experience with database, data conversion, reporting tools, API integration, and application design • Proven ability to lead development teams and mentor junior staff • Understanding of pension plan concepts is a strong asset • Prior experience in the pension or financial services industry is an asset • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Must be able to remain seated for extended periods • Regular use of a computer and office machinery • Occasional movement around the office • Frequent communication via telephone
