📋 Description

• Own the product strategy and roadmap for Dirac, New Relic's data platform • Define how data is stored, tiered, retained, priced, processed, queried, and federated across clouds, regions, and sovereign boundaries • Shape querying experiences using NRQL, SQL, and AI-driven natural language queries • Define streaming alerts, aggregation, roll-ups, and in-platform processing • Lead federation and data sovereignty strategy, including New Relic Lens, data residency, and compliance requirements • Prototype, test, and ship AI features on the platform • Use AI tools to improve productivity, analyze data, and develop products • Conduct ongoing customer discovery with enterprises and startups • Track platform metrics including query volume, latency, data stored, cost per GB, and adoption • Partner with engineering, architecture, design, finance, sales, and marketing on product delivery and go-to-market launches • Explain technical tradeoffs to engineers and executives and align stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience • 5+ years of product management experience building and launching technical products, ideally platform, data, or infrastructure products • Strong technical foundation in storage, query engines, distributed systems, and cloud architecture • Hands-on experience with AI and LLM tools • Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data and turn it into high-impact decisions • Comfort with ambiguity and complexity • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills • Ability to lead through influence rather than authority • Strong bias for action • Experience with databases, data warehouses, lakehouses, or query engines is a bonus • Experience with observability is a bonus • Experience with streaming and real-time processing systems is a bonus • Familiarity with data sovereignty, data residency, or regulated environments is a bonus • Direct experience with observability products or telemetry data at scale is a bonus • Experience with usage-based pricing, unit economics, or COGS on a data platform is a bonus • Experience with public cloud infrastructure services (AWS / Azure / GCP) is a bonus • Enterprise B2B SaaS experience with a developer or data persona is a bonus • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position • Must complete identity and employment eligibility verification • Must pass a criminal background check
