📋 Description

• Create and write user documents, including how-to guides, references, manuals, cheat sheets, and instructions • Explain scientific and technical ideas in simple language • Translate customer functional requirements into detailed technical specifications • Support the engineering team with documentation for system components and engineering artifacts • Lead technical writing tasks and serve as primary liaison to the government for contract coordination and task execution • Own all technical documentation for the program, including documentation produced by managed technical writers • Write and edit documentation for project hardware and software, including installation, configuration, and how-to documentation • Create software code documentation • Produce implementation guides and end-user guides • Provide field, data definition, and data flow documentation • Format technical publications using source materials and consultations with technical personnel • Prepare, review, revise, and maintain software and systems engineering, operations, testing, and user documentation • Distill complex information into clear, concise text • Deliver accurate documentation under tight deadlines

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in a technical or lead writing role • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree • Secret security clearance, or US citizenship with ability to pass a T1 investigation • Ability to distill complex information into clear, concise text • Excellent writing and grammar skills • Ability to work independently and deliver accurate content under pressure and tight deadlines • Experience designing and delivering developer-oriented documentation • Experience working directly with development teams • Experience using multiple tools to develop base templates and manipulate output styles • Thorough understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), IC ITE, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and related terminology • Graduate degree in a related area of study is desired • Expertise migrating documentation to an automation-driven process is desired • Up to 10% travel required • Minimum Secret clearance required to start
