📋 Description

• Oversee day-to-day activities of database developers and a statistical analyst • Assign resources to projects and balance workflows to meet deadlines • Establish project priorities and tasks through systematic project planning • Coordinate and advise direct reports on project guidelines and requirements • Design and implement complex data solutions using AWS services such as Redshift, S3, Glue, and Lambda, plus PostgreSQL • Confirm data requirements with stakeholders and integrate enterprise requirements • Maintain and evolve department data and statistics • Prioritize project deadlines with management and direct project expectations and functionality • Apply database concepts, cloud data architecture principles, and functional capabilities across the data environment • Direct implementation of database standards and guidelines • Establish standards and methodologies and monitor performance to maintain data quality and integrity • Oversee ingestion of large datasets into AWS storage and analytical environments • Create timely reports in response to ad hoc or managerial requests • Provide user-friendly front-end tools, views, and reports for analysis of insurance and law enforcement data • Support departmental and organizational objectives by completing assigned projects • Perform other duties as assigned • Supervise direct reports and coordinate with NICB employees, members, ISO, data vendors, and strategic partners

🎯 Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Person, defined as a US Citizen or Green Card Holder • Bachelor’s degree required; Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology, or similar field preferred • 2–3 years of IT experience with strong understanding of relational database concepts and cloud data architecture • Experience with PostgreSQL and/or Amazon Redshift in production environments • Strong experience with Amazon Web Services data processing tools preferred, including S3, Glue, and Lambda • Experience with cloud-based data management and ETL/ELT processes and data flow design • Solid understanding of and experience with server-client environments and relational database systems • Proficiency in complex SQL query development and cloud-based data pipeline troubleshooting • Ability to establish data project requirements and supervise ongoing projects • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills • Ability to produce clear technical documentation and present ideas in user-friendly language • Self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a high-pressure, rapidly changing environment • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment • Ability to lift 25 lbs. • Some travel may be required
