📋 Description

• Serve as the financial owner of Nirvana Insurance Services, a commercial insurance MGA • Own monthly, quarterly, and annual FP&A cycles, including budget-versus-actual analysis and board variance narratives • Own accounting close and ASC 606 revenue recognition for MGA commission income • Reconcile treaty-year commission rates • Approve premium trust account funding and escalate fronting-carrier remittance operations • Reconcile reinsurance program economics, including quota-share loss ratios and commission true-ups • Build a shared source of truth for reinsurance economics • Oversee subproducer and agency agreements, remittance, and commission balances • Coordinate NIS audit deliverables with external auditors • Author NIS financial narratives and board-deck results • Partner with Fleet, Business Auto, and Non-Fleet business-unit leads • Build and lead a small team, including an accountant and a finance manager

🎯 Requirements

• 8–12 years of hands-on experience across accounting and finance/FP&A inside an operating company • Detail-oriented and execution-focused • Resilience to thrive in a high-performance, fast-paced setting • Comfortable digging into details, implementing solutions, and iterating quickly • Comfortable navigating complex entity structures and processes • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex financial concepts to executives and operators • ASC 606 revenue recognition experience, ideally with commission-based revenue models • Prior experience in fintech • Fluency in insurance or MGA economics is nice to have • Prior insurance or financial services experience is nice to have, not a requirement • Work location in the U.S. • Ability to address U.S. work sponsorship requirements
