📋 Description

• Conduct routine armed security patrols of assigned buildings, facilities, and grounds by foot, vehicle, or electronic monitoring systems • Control access to client facilities by verifying identification and authorizing entry • Inspect doors, windows, gates, fences, and other access points and report deficiencies • Observe, document, and report property damage, unusual occurrences, suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security incidents • Enforce company and client policies and procedures, address rule violations, and remove unauthorized persons when appropriate • Notify personnel of visitors and coordinate visitor access • Respond to alarms, emergencies, medical incidents, fires, and other critical situations • Operate and maintain camp billeting, visitor management, and electronic access control systems • Monitor fire protection, security, lighting, heating, ventilation, and related building systems • Safely carry and maintain assigned firearms and security equipment • Provide transportation services using passenger vehicles, buses, and off-road vehicles as required • Provide emergency medical response, including CPR, AED use, basic first aid, and patient movement • Report unsafe conditions, equipment deficiencies, and sanitation concerns • Complete incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation • Perform other duties supporting departmental and operational objectives

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required • Minimum of three (3) years of full-time professional experience in security, law enforcement, or military service • Relevant post-secondary education may be substituted for a portion of the required experience • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record for the previous three (3) years • Ability to obtain an Alaska Guard License prior to employment • Must obtain and maintain a State of Alaska Armed Guard License upon hire • Must demonstrate safe handgun handling skills and successfully pass a law enforcement-style firearms qualification • Ability to qualify for required credentials and certifications, including TWIC and ATF Explosives Possessor authorization, as required by the contract • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and contract-specific software • Must successfully complete pre-employment requirements, including applicable background check, drug screening, physical examination, fit-for-duty assessment, and hearing test • Ability to reside in dormitory-style accommodations and comply with remote camp standards • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make effective decisions with minimal supervision during emergencies • Ability to work a two (2) weeks on, two (2) weeks off rotational schedule • Ability to stand and/or walk for up to twelve (12) hours per shift and work in remote Arctic weather conditions • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English • Must comply with company and client safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements • Must lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and meet the listed fit-for-duty physical tests • Demonstrated customer service, interpersonal, oral communication, and written communication competencies
