📋 Description

• Own the accounting for the loyalty program, including deferred revenue, points liability, breakage estimates, and reward note reconciliation • Calculate and maintain deferred revenue and point/note liability balances while ensuring compliance with revenue recognition standards • Record and review monthly accruals for points/notes earned, redeemed, expired, and adjusted • Reconcile loyalty platform data to the general ledger • Prepare financial reporting, variance analyses, and forecasts related to the loyalty program • Provide documentation and support for internal controls and audits • Determine GAAP accounting treatment for new benefits, including performance obligations and marketing expenses • Partner with loyalty operations, marketing, and technology teams to validate data, improve month-end close, and strengthen controls through automation

🎯 Requirements

• BS/BA in Accounting • 8+ years of relevant accounting experience • Experience navigating complex contractual and accounting issues within high-growth, partner-facing business models • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with an ability to formulate recommendations and influence leader decision-making • Proven track record of exercising sound judgment in analysis, leadership and communication
