• Conduct confidential substance use and mental health assessments in person or via telehealth to determine clients’ need and level of care • Place clients in appropriate facilities based on assessment outcomes • Collaborate with clients and internal treatment teams using strengths-based and trauma-informed approaches • Provide clinical consultation to referral resources, family members, and others • Engage clients in decision-making and explain assessment and appropriate levels of care • Collect and review referral and collateral information to support diagnosis, treatment needs, service coordination, and scheduling • Coordinate appointments with Admissions, front desk staff, clients, and guardians • Make referrals to appropriate programs and agencies • Monitor client access and involvement, address treatment barriers, and follow up on program adjustment and satisfaction • Coordinate admissions and intakes or forward approved documentation to external agencies • Work with funding sources and Utilization Review to obtain treatment reimbursement authorizations • Coordinate services with the legal system, including court appearances when appropriate • Complete clinical, billing, Outcomes Survey, and EMR documentation • Maintain knowledge and resource lists for agencies and programs • Comply with policies, regulations, standards, confidentiality requirements, and HIPAA procedures • Participate in meetings, staff development, and training • Provide backup assistance with group and individual therapy sessions • Perform other clinically appropriate services and special projects as assigned
• Master’s Degree in Mental Health, Social Sciences, or another relevant field required • Active, unencumbered Idaho Professional Counselor, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy licensure required • Active mental health licensure in the state where treatment services are rendered • If substance use licensure is not active, willingness to apply for substance use licensure • Maintain applicable state licensure requirements at hire and throughout employment • 1+ year of relevant experience demonstrating knowledge and skills related to treating mental health disorders • Exercise discretion and independent judgment, maintain professional boundaries, and follow strict confidentiality practices • Experience with trauma-informed services and cognitive behavioral therapies, including DBT, CBT, and motivational therapies • Apply clinical judgment, ethics, and accountability to formulate and implement treatment plans and clinical documentation • Ability to work with diverse populations and knowledge required for treating assigned adolescent clients • Strong personal boundaries and ability to build rapport with patients • Understand and adhere to ethical standards of the applicable licensure governing board • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and EMR systems
